Learn strategies to nurture empathy and pro-social behaviours in young children. The workshop explores activities, stories, and discussions that help preschoolers understand and share the feelings of others, fostering a sense of compassion and kindness.

1. Understand the core principles of the NGN SEEL (Social, Emotional, Ethical and Logical Learning) Approach and its relevance in promoting student self-esteem, resilience, and growth mindset.

2. Identify the components of resilience and explore strategies for fostering resilience in students to help them overcome challenges and setbacks effectively.

3. Examine the concept of a growth mindset and its role in promoting student’s ability to learn and grow, even in the face of obstacles or failures.

4. Learn self-management strategies to help students regulate their emotions, behaviours, and responses in various situations, both inside and outside the classroom.

5. Explore effective classroom management techniques grounded in NGN SEEL principles to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel safe, supported, and empowered to succeed.

6. Develop skills in promoting self-esteem among students by recognizing and celebrating their strengths, accomplishments, and efforts, while also providing constructive feedback and encouragement.

7. Integrate NGNSEEL-based activities, exercises, and discussions into daily classroom routines to nurture students’ social and emotional development and enhance their confidence and self-esteem.

8. Reflect on personal teaching practices and areas for growth in fostering student self-esteem and resilience, and create an action plan for ongoing professional development and improvement.
